Edie Creek Emblazon 87Y is a phenotypically impressive example of a beef bull. He is one of the most heavily muscled, deepest, thickest bulls ever to walk our pastures.
-
As a yearling he set him self apart with his extra hind quarter and easy fleshing. We used him for 2 breeding seasons before he was unfortunately lost on pasture.
-
Being out of the OCC donor cow OCC Revolution Rose 743K is also a real bonus, as she is an amazingly sound 14 year-old cow (that we have seen a number of times on our trips down to Kansas, including April 2014) with perfect feet and legs, fabulous udder structure, and the thickness and power that OCC Anchor 771A daughters are known for.
-
Lining up two powerful bulls in his pedigree with Emblazon x Anchor, we knew what he could grow into. We were more than impressed when we saw his development into a mature bull.
-
Thankfully one other embryo caught from this mating, and so we have ECA 56Y who is a full sister to 87Y walking our pastures as a beautiful young cow.
Use Emblazon 87Y sons in your herd to moderate size, tighten udders and add fleshing ability. They will fit extremely well in a grass finished beef operation.
